Die strapazierfähige Granitplatte, welche fest in eine Edelstahlwanne eingepasst ist, wird in einen zuvor ausgesägten passgenauen Ausschnitt der Arbeitsplatte (236 x 236 mm) eingelegt. Die Befestigung erfolgt mittels Montagekleber bzw. Silikon und Primer. Das Granitfeld dient anschließend als Schneidfläche und kann als Ablagefläche für heiße Töpfe genutzt werden.
